Lloyd Hawkeye Robertson

Welcome to my Website!

I hope you enjoy exploring my website. I see myself as being eclectic in both my interests and professional approaches, and I think that you will find this reflected in this site. First, let me tell you a little about my varied training and interests.

I have post-secondary training in psychology, education, lifeskills coaching, community development and social work. My degree in Social Work included specialization in community development. In addition, I am a Certified Counsellor recognized by the Canadian Counselling Association.
My work experience has included senior management with the Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations and with Saskatchewan's Department of Health. I have worked as an educational psychologist, counselling psychologist, lifeskills coach, social worker and journalist. I have prepared home studies in custody cases and have testified in court. I have had articles published in professional journals on the following topics:

  • Attention deficit disorder
  • Memetic applications to counselling
  • Memetic approaches to understanding spirituality in science
  • Community development in native mental health
  • Cults in northern Saskatchewan
  • Cultural bias in intelligence testing

My personal strengths include:

  • counselling for individual achievement
  • relationship, family and group counselling
  • post trauma and situational stress intervention
  • psycho-educational assessments
  • staff training and human resource development
  • health and social development research
  • team building and communication skills
  • conflict resolution
  • cross-cultural training

My approach is both client-centered and holistic. Since no one can be competent at everything (altho I try), I sometimes need a little help from my friends to provide a complete service at the individual, family and community levels. I invite you to read about them and to visit their websites.

Sincerely,
Lloyd Hawkeye Robertson, Ph.D.
